Labor Day in Baltimore

We drove to Silver Spring to stay with my parents for the weekend. This was our 3rd trip there, 2nd since we've lived here. The past 2 times we did all the D.C. tourist stuff like museums and monuments...riding the Metro everywhere. This time we chose to explore Baltimore. We visit Fort McHenry, The Birthplace of the National Anthem. The weather was perfect and the view of the harbor was beautiful. The kids loved the canons.

We ate dinner at an Irish Restaurant in the Harbor and went to an Oreoles game. We had excellent seats and I had a great time. It was our first night game and we made it to the 8th inning. Violet tends to fall apart after 7pm, but to be honest, she's too much of a busy body to enjoy a ball game so she would have been difficult even during a day game.

Sunday we just relaxed and on Monday we went to Six Flags/Hurricane Harbor. It was 85 degrees so we spent half the time at each. I've been wanting to go to a water park since our honeymoon. I don't really know why we haven't got around to it, but I'm making it a goal to go to one next summer so I can float the lazy river!
